Satoko Yamano is a Japanese singer and voice actor born on August 2, 1963, in Higashiosaka, Osaka, Japan. She began her career in the entertainment industry in 1980. Her educational background includes studies at Osaka Jogakuin Junior College. She is affiliated with the record label Nippon Columbia.

Yamano is known for her work as both a performer of anime theme songs and a voice actor in anime series. In the realm of voice acting, she has taken on a variety of roles since the mid-1980s. Among her notable anime television roles are Puriprin in Maple Town Stories and its follow-up, New Maple Town Stories, in which she also voiced the character Sheila. In the 1988 feature film Saint Seiya: The Heated Battle of the Gods, she provided the voice for the character Freyja. She also voiced Gina in Topo Gigio and Yume Miru Topo Gigio, and Kozue Makihara in two episodes of City Hunter 2. In the early 1990s, she played the role of Orie in the television series Pygmalio.

Alongside her acting, Yamano has had a significant career as a singer, performing numerous theme songs for popular anime. She is perhaps best known for singing the second version of the long-running theme song Doraemon no Uta for the Doraemon anime series and films from 1989 to 2004. Her extensive discography of theme songs also includes the opening and ending themes for Pygmalio, the opening theme for New Maple Town Stories, and songs for series such as Tongari Bōshi no Memole, Ultraman Kids: 30 Million Light Years Looking for Mama, and The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, among many others.
