Michael Telloke was a German actor and voice actor whose career spanned several decades, from the late 1950s until his passing in 2010. He built an extensive body of work in both stage and screen acting in addition to his prolific voiceover career, which encompassed over 800 synchronization roles. Born on January 23, 1945, Telloke began his artistic career in East Germany, where he was active as a stage actor at the Landestheater Dessau and appeared in numerous films and television series produced by DEFA and the national broadcaster. His on-screen credits during this period included appearances in the long-running crime series Polizeiruf 110 and the multi-part historical drama Sachsens Glanz und Preußens Gloria.

Following German reunification, Telloke continued his voice work extensively, becoming a familiar voice in German dubs of international films and television series. He was the regular German voice for actors such as Lance Henriksen, Alan Rickman, and Alec Baldwin, among many others. In the realm of genre television, he contributed numerous voices to the Star Trek franchise across its various series, including Deep Space Nine and Voyager, and was heard in popular shows like Friends, where he voiced Elliott Gould's character Jack Geller, and 24, where he voiced William Devane's character James Heller.

In the specific field of anime and animated series, Michael Telloke was an active voice actor during the 1990s and early 2000s. A notable recurring role was in the anime adaptation of Kaiketsu Zorro, known in German as Z wie Zorro. He took over the role of Captain Jekyll, the series' antagonist, from episode 24 onwards and voiced the character through to the series finale. He also voiced the character Aknamkanon, the father of the Pharaoh, in the German version of the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime.

Telloke's work in the anime and animation genre also included significant roles in several OVA and series productions of the era. In the 1991 mecha series Kikou Keisatsu Metal Jack (Armored Police Metal Jack), he voiced Chief Masanao Daigo, the commander of the Metal Jack unit. For the 1993 cyberpunk OVA 8 Man After, he took on the role of Morris Daigo, a key character in the story. Additionally, he provided the German voice for the character Noble in the Transformers series Beast Machines. Through these roles, Telloke contributed to the German localization of several notable anime and animated properties, bringing a range of authoritative and dramatic characters to life for German-speaking audiences. He passed away on May 6, 2010.
