Rena Yukie
Description
Rena Yukie is a Japanese voice actor born on May 26, 1962, in Kyoto Prefecture. She is affiliated with the talent management firm Trias. Throughout her career, she has also been credited under the stage names Rena Kurihara, Marina, and Yukie Rena.
Yukie began her career in the late 1980s, with early roles in television anime such as Ultra B and Dash! Yonkuro. The 1990s saw her take on a wider variety of parts. She is known for her role as Rosie in the 1991 children's anime series O-bake no Holly. In the same year, she also voiced Catherine in Magical Angel Sweet Mint.
In the latter half of the decade, she appeared in long-running and popular series. She played multiple small roles in the 1997 anime Coji-Coji and, in 1999, took on the role of Kikyo Zaoldyeck in the first adaptation of Hunter × Hunter. The 1990s were also a busy period for her work in original video animations (OVAs). She had roles in numerous OVA series, including The Sensualist, Burn Up!, and Otaku no Video.
Yukie continued to work extensively in the early 2000s. She voiced Emi Kojima, also known as Septem, in the 2000 OVA series Magical Kanan, as well as its follow-up, Magical Kanan Summer Special. Another notable role from this period was Hiroko Yanagi in the OVA Deep Voice. Her television credits from this time include roles in Hungry Heart: Wild Striker in 2002 and Speed Grapher in 2005.
In addition to her work in animation, Yukie has contributed her voice to numerous video games. Her game credits include March Shizuka in the 1997 game Kakyūsei and its related OVAs, as well as roles in Tales of Breaker and True Blue 2002.
