Lionel Melet is a French actor, born on October 14, 1967, in Paris, who became well-known for his extensive work as a voice actor in dubbing. His career as a voice actor was particularly active from the late 1980s until the end of the 2000s. Before specializing in voice work, Melet appeared in several French film and television productions as a young actor, with credits including the films L'Hôtel de la plage (1978) and P.R.O.F.S (1985).

Melet is recognized for his numerous roles in the French-language dubs of various international animated series. In anime, he is notably credited as the voice of Guillaume Durant in the series Dear Brother, known in French as Très Cher Frère. He also played multiple roles across the entire Ojamajo Doremi franchise, including the character François and the father of the protagonist Doremi in Mo~tto! Ojamajo Doremi and other installments. His other significant anime voice work includes providing the French voice of Omega Shenron in Dragon Ball GT and Lord Gilbert in The Adventures of Robin Hood.

Beyond anime, Melet's voice became familiar to French audiences through several prominent Western animated series. He was the voice of Eddy in Ed, Edd n Eddy and of both Hermes Conrad and Zapp Brannigan in the first five seasons of Futurama. His work also extended to live-action dubbing, where he was the regular French voice for actors such as Ian Ziering (Beverly Hills, 90210), Scott Caan, and Dean Winters, among many others.

Lionel Melet chose to significantly slow down his career in 2007 and ultimately retired from voice acting in mid-2009 due to health reasons.
