Hochu Otsuka, also known by his birth name Yoshitada Otsuka, is a highly respected Japanese voice actor and narrator. He was born on May 19, 1954, in Okayama Prefecture, Japan and has been active in the voice acting industry since 1976. He is affiliated with the talent management firm Crazy Box.

Otsuka is known for his distinct and versatile baritone voice, which allows him to portray a wide range of characters, from cunning villains to comedic roles and mature, heroic figures. In his later career, he has frequently been cast as older male characters with gruff personalities.

His filmography includes numerous iconic roles in major anime series. He is widely recognized for voicing Jiraiya in Naruto and Akira Sendo in Slam Dunk. Other significant roles include Yazan Gable in Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, Abuto in Gintama, and Sakonji Urokodaki in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. In the original video animation series Ten Tokyo Warriors, he provided the voice for the character Rokumon Hanawa.

Beyond anime, Otsuka is renowned for his extensive work in dubbing foreign films and series. He is the regular dubbing voice for actors such as Jean-Claude Van Damme and Donnie Yen, including Yen's role in the Ip Man film series. He has also dubbed performances for Jeff Goldblum, Ray Liotta, and Tim Robbins, among many others.

Throughout his long career, Otsuka has received recognition for his contributions to voice acting. At the 11th Seiyu Awards, he won the award for Best Supporting Actor.
