Dai Matsumoto is a Japanese actor, voice actor, and narrator from Tokyo, Japan, born on June 1, 1959. He is affiliated with the Tokyo Actor's Consumer's Cooperative Society, also known as Haikyō. His voice is characterized as a low baritone. Before entering the voice acting industry, he trained at the Shakespeare Theatre Training Institute. He began his professional career in 1984 and started voicing roles in anime a decade later, with his debut in the 1994 series Mobile Fighter G Gundam.

Matsumoto has built an extensive and varied career across anime, video games, tokusatsu, and dubbing foreign-language media. In anime, he is known for a wide range of supporting roles, often lending his distinctive voice to authoritative figures, villains, and mentors. Some of his notable anime credits include Fugaku Uchiha, the father of Sasuke Uchiha, in Naruto; the Older Slicer brother in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood; and roles in long-running series such as Detective Conan, Bleach, and Gintama. He also voiced Dokugakuji in Saiyuki, Felix Aaron Thenardier in Lord Marksman and Vanadis, and the family patriarch Soichiro Sakurada in Castle Town Dandelion.

Beyond anime, his work is prolific in tokusatsu, the live-action special effects genre. He has provided voices for numerous characters in Super Sentai series, including Ninja Sentai Kakuranger and Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, as well as in Kamen Rider OOO and Kamen Rider Ex-Aid. He is also recognized by some audiences for voicing the character蟑螂恶霸 (Cockroach Brute) in the popular tokusatsu series B-Robo Kabutack. His voice is also heard in many video games, such as the Fire Emblem series and as the Japanese voice of The Arbiter in the Halo series.
