Kotono Mitsuishi is a prominent Japanese voice actress and narrator, born on December 8, 1967. She began her career after graduating from high school in 1986 and enrolling in the Katsuta Voice Actor's Academy, making her voice acting debut in 1988. Throughout her career, she has been affiliated with Arts Vision and Lasley Arrow before becoming a freelance talent.

Mitsuishi is widely recognized for several iconic roles that have defined her career. She gained immense popularity with her first major role as Usagi Tsukino, the title character in the highly successful Sailor Moon series, which began in 1992. This was followed by another critically acclaimed performance as Misato Katsuragi in the landmark series Neon Genesis Evangelion. Her other significant roles include Boa Hancock in One Piece, Murrue Ramius in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED and its sequel Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY, and Excel in Excel Saga. She also voices Tamako Nobi, the mother of the titular character, in the long-running Doraemon series.
