Ayumi Uno

Ayumi Uno is a Japanese manga artist known for creating the series Okojo-san. She was born on May 5, 1973, in Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan. Her professional debut came in 1993 with the one-shot Furoagari no Jouji, which was published in the October 10 issue of LaLa DX magazine.

Uno is primarily recognized as the creator of Okojo-san, a manga series that was serialized in the shōjo magazine LaLa from 1996 to 2005. The series was compiled into eight tankōbon volumes published by Hakusensha. The story follows a white ermine named Okojo-san who escapes from an exotic pet store and is taken in by a college student, leading to comedic adventures with various human and animal residents in a small apartment complex.

The manga was adapted into a 51-episode anime television series titled Shiawase Sou no Okojo-san, which aired on TV Tokyo from October 2, 2001, to September 24, 2002. The anime was produced by the studio Radix Ace Entertainment. Uno was credited as the original work creator for the adaptation. In addition to her work on the manga and its adaptation, she also wrote the lyrics for a song from the anime titled Okojo Banchou no Theme.
