Simona Izzo is an Italian voice actress and actress, also known for her work as a director and screenwriter. She was born in Rome in 1953 and began her career in the entertainment industry as a voice dubbing actress for foreign films. This work was a natural path for her, as she comes from a family deeply involved in dubbing; her father was the renowned voice actor Renato Izzo.

Izzo is recognized for providing the Italian voice for the character Rossana, known as Odette in the original, in the 1981 Japanese animated film Swan Lake. This film is an adaptation of the famous ballet and was produced by Toei Animation. Her contribution to the field of dubbing was officially recognized in 1990 when she won the Nastro d'Argento for best dubber for her work voicing Jacqueline Bisset in the Italian version of the film Scenes from the Class Struggle in Beverly Hills.

In addition to her voice work, Izzo has had a significant career in live-action film. She has appeared as an actress and collaborated on numerous screenplays, often working with her husband, director Ricky Tognazzi. Her debut as a film director came in 1994 with Sentimental Maniacs, a role that earned her the David di Donatello award for Best New Director.
