Líbero Miguel was a Brazilian actor and voice actor who built a extensive career in radio, television, and dubbing, becoming a significant figure in the industry during the 20th century. He was born Líbero Miguel Giachetta in São Paulo on May 4, 1932. His artistic journey began in theater during the 1950s, performing with companies like the Companhia Lydia Lícia - Sérgio Cardoso in productions such as Hamlet. This stage work led to a transition into television, where he was both an actor and a director for major broadcasters like TV Tupi, TV Paulista, and TV Globo, directing and appearing in numerous telenovelas and theatrical programs.

While his work in live-action television and film was extensive, Líbero Miguel became widely recognized for his contributions to dubbing. He dedicated a significant portion of his career to voice work, lending his distinctive voice to a variety of characters in animated series and films. Among his most notable roles in anime were two that cemented his legacy with Brazilian audiences. He voiced the character Doutor Zero in the series Ogon Bat, also known as Fantomas in its Brazilian release. Furthermore, he provided the voice for the villainous organization, Fantasma Negro, in the 1968 anime adaptation of Cyborg 009. His work in anime also included directing the dubbing for the Portuguese version of the Pinocchio: The Series.

Beyond anime, Líbero Miguel's dubbing career was marked by his frequent work as a voice for major Hollywood stars, including Henry Fonda, Peter Sellers, Gregory Peck, and Robert Duvall. He was also a familiar voice in popular cartoons, contributing significantly to the Brazilian Portuguese dubs of Woody Woodpecker and Pinocchio. In addition to his performance work, he was highly active as a dubbing director, a role he performed at several important São Paulo studios, including Gravasom, AIC - Arte Cinematográfica Industrial, and later as the artistic coordinator at Álamo.

His later career included a notable period as a dubbing director at the Álamo studio during the 1980s. In this capacity, he oversaw the Brazilian Portuguese dubs of several popular tokusatsu series, such as O Fantástico Jaspion and Esquadrão Relâmpago Changeman, and also voiced key villains in these productions, including Satãn Goss in Jaspion and Oninin Dokusai in Jiraiya, O Incrível Ninja. Líbero Miguel passed away in São Paulo on October 28, 1989, leaving behind a substantial body of work that has marked the memory of Brazilian viewers and listeners.
