Sônia Moraes

Sônia de Moraes was a Brazilian voice actor active in the dubbing industry during the 1970s and 1980s. She is recognized for her work on anime series that were broadcast on Brazilian television during that period.
Moraes voiced the character Youko in the Portuguese dubbing of the anime series Kick no Oni, titled Sawamu, o Demolidor in Brazil. This series, which told the story of kickboxer Tadashi Sawamura, was produced by Toei Animation and aired in Brazil from 1976. The dubbing for this series was produced by the studio Televox under the direction of Rodney Gomes.
She also contributed her voice to another classic anime, A Princesa e o Cavaleiro, known in Japan as Ribbon no Kishi or Princess Knight. In this series, based on the work of Osamu Tezuka, Moraes performed the roles of both A Rainha (the Queen) and Hekate. This dubbing was carried out at the Cinecastro studio, which often collaborated with Televox. Her performances in these two productions are among the few documented records of her work in Brazilian voice acting.
