Masumi Harukawa

Description
Masumi Harukawa was a Japanese actress whose career in film and television spanned five decades, from the late 1950s to the late 2000s. Born in Tochigi, Japan, on November 10, 1935, she was recognized for her extensive work in live-action cinema. Her filmography includes notable works such as Shôhei Imamura's The Insect Woman from 1963 and Intentions of Murder from 1964, as well as the 1987 film Hachiko Monogatari.

While Harukawa's career was primarily in live-action, her credit as a voice actor is documented for the 1977 animated film The Mouse and His Child. In this Japanese-American co-production, she provided the Japanese voice for the character Elephant. Outside of this single, confirmed voice acting role, public records of her career do not indicate a broader body of work in anime or voice-over performance.
