Luciana Luppi

Luciana Luppi was an Italian voice actor and actress, active in the dubbing industry from 1980 to 1984. Born in Milan, she was married to fellow voice actor Sandro Sardone. Her voice acting work in animated series includes providing the Italian voice for the character Taloro, as well as Dolcepiuma, in the anime adaptation The Wonderful Adventures of Nils. Beyond animation, her dubbing credits encompassed live-action television, including the role of Hilda in the series Gli eroi di Hogan and the character Tonia in the soap opera Donne di sabbia.

Luppi's career, however, extended far beyond voice acting, spanning theater, film, and television. She acted in theater with renowned companies, including Dario Fo's Nuova Scena and the Piccolo Teatro under director Giorgio Strehler. On screen, she appeared in films such as Sorbole... che romagnola! and had television roles, for instance, in the series Nucleo centrale investigativo and the Rai sceneggiato Voglia di volare.

Later in her career, Luppi became significantly involved in writing. In 1983, she attended a dramaturgy school in Rome directed by Eduardo De Filippo, with whom she co-wrote the play L'erede di Shylock. She continued to write successful works for theater and other media, including the radio original Paracelso, genio e magia di un medico vagabondo for Swiss Italian Radio. She also wrote the subject and screenplay for the 1991 film Centro storico / Donne sottotetto.
