Hans Hoekman was a Dutch actor and voice artist, born in Utrecht on November 23, 1946. He trained at the Toneelacademie Maastricht and began his career in cabaret. While his stage appearances were limited, he became a familiar face on Dutch television in series such as De kleine waarheid, Dagboek van een herdershond, and De holle bolle boom. His role as Eppo in the popular series De kleine waarheid from 1970 to 1973 brought him significant public recognition.

Hoekman was highly active as a voice actor, lending his voice to numerous animated series and films. He is known for providing the Dutch voice of Willy the drone in the classic anime series Maya the Bee, a role that aired from 1978 to 1983. His other prominent voice roles in animation included the title character in Dommel, Agent Kling and the pirate Blood-Bart in Pippi Langkous, Oscar the Grouch in Sesamstraat, Tohru in Jackie Chan Adventures, and Varkmuis in The Wuzzles.

His work extended to dubbing characters in major film franchises. He was the official Dutch voice of Rubeus Hagrid in the Harry Potter film series. He also contributed to the Dutch versions of films such as Ice Age, Shark Tale, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, as well as providing voices for characters in various Barbie animated films, Aladdin and the King of Thieves, and Dinosaur.

Beyond film and television, Hoekman had an extensive career as a radio drama actor, performing in over two hundred productions. His work in this medium included roles in series such as Aarde der mensen, Paul Vlaanderen, and Moordbrigade Stockholm. He also provided voices for video games like Buzz! Junior: Robo Jam and was heard in Dutch advertising campaigns.

Hans Hoekman passed away on November 14, 2017, in Hilversum at the age of 70.
