Brandon Williams

Description
Brandon Williams is a voice actor known for his involvement in English-language fan-produced dubs of Japanese anime series, particularly within the Transformers franchise. His entry into voice acting was closely tied to a personal project rather than a traditional career path. Around February or March 2003, Williams initiated a project to create English dubs of Japanese Transformers series that had not received official English releases, driven by a desire to make them accessible to other fans. He collaborated with his brothers and cousin on this in-house project, with the group casting themselves in the various roles.

Williams is most recognized for his voice work in the fan dub of the 1999 anime series Chō Seimeitai Transformers: Beast Wars Neo. In this project, he provided the voice for the main character, Big Convoy, the Maximal Supreme Commander who transforms into a woolly mammoth. This role was significant as Beast Wars Neo was the first series his group worked on, with the first episode of their fan dub released on June 30, 2003. In addition to Big Convoy, Williams also voiced the character Cohrada in the same series.

Beyond Beast Wars Neo, Williams's voice work expanded to other Transformers fan projects. He took on roles such as Hellbat in Transformers: Victory and Scuba in Beast Wars Second, and also contributed to projects like Scramble City and Zone. His work was part of a broader effort by the group at TFCog.net, where Williams was also involved in writing scripts and producing the episodes, often collaborating with a partner named Peter. He considered voice acting and writing to be his favorite parts of these projects. The fan dubs he participated in generally received positive feedback from the community, with Williams noting that the reception was around 85 to 90 percent positive.
