Mirko Savone is an Italian voice actor and actor, recognized for his extensive work in dubbing, particularly for providing the Italian voices of prominent Hollywood actors and for his roles in numerous animated series. He is also known for voicing the character Barbazoo in the animated series Barbapapa Around the World.

Savone's career in the performing arts began in childhood, as he started acting in theater at the age of six. His early professional work included becoming part of the cast of the Italian television show Macao on RAI 2 at age 18. Alongside his performance career, he pursued formal musical training, graduating from the Conservatory Licino Refice in piano and voice when he was 17 years old.

He gained prominence in the Italian dubbing industry for his voice work. A significant period in his career was from 1996 to 2000, during which he served as the official voice of The Disney Channel in Italy. His dubbing portfolio includes providing the Italian voice for actor Christian Bale in the film The Secret Agent and for Elijah Wood in Oliver Twist. In addition to live-action dubbing, he has voiced characters in a wide range of animated series. His anime and cartoon roles include Pelezinho in Pelezinho, Chip in LumacOlimpiadi, Till in La principessa Sheherazade, Il Bonacciorso in Garfield, and various characters in series such as Medarot, Ranma 1/2, and Generator Gawl. He has also worked as a director for movies and TV series for channels including The Disney Channel, RAI, and Mediaset.

In late 2000, Savone moved to New York City to further his training at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. In New York, he continued his acting career, appearing in the Off-Broadway play Crossing Rockaway Parkway. He is also a graduate of Columbia University in the City of New York. His career path later extended into the field of science, where he has worked as an epidemiologist and in medical communications for pharmaceutical companies such as Pfizer and Bristol Myers Squibb.
