Keiko Konno

Keiko Konno is a Japanese voice actress and actress affiliated with the Tokyo Actor's Consumer's Cooperative Society. She was born on April 7, 1959, in Hokkaido, Japan. Her training for a career in performance began at the Literary Association Research Institute, from which she graduated in 1981, followed by graduation from the Haikyo Training School in 1982. While her voice work includes anime, a significant portion of her career is dedicated to stage acting and dubbing foreign films and television dramas.

Konno's anime roles span several decades. One of her earlier notable roles was as the mother of Haruka in the 2003 television anime series Kimi ga Nozomu Eien. She later reprised a role in the franchise's sequel OVA, Kimi ga Nozomu Eien ~Next Season~ (2007-2008), providing the voice for the character Kaoru Suzumiya. In 2006, she voiced墨村守美子 (Sunamura Sumiko), the mother of the protagonist, in the anime series Kekkaishi. More recently, in 2021, she was cast as Yukino Mizusawa in the mixed-media ice hockey project PuraOre! Pride of Orange.

Beyond animation, Konno is known for her extensive work in tokusatsu superhero productions. She provided voices for several characters in the Super Sentai series, including the Galactic Empress Meadow in Chikyuu Sentai Fiveman (1990) and the voice of the眼镜组织 (Glasses Organization) in Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger. She also voiced the character Jera in the Metal Hero series Juukou B-Fighter (1995-1996) and its film adaptation. Her career demonstrates a long-standing presence in Japanese voice acting, with credits across different genres and formats from the early 1990s through the 2020s.
