Michael Pollock is an American voice actor widely recognized for his extensive work in anime dubbing, animation, and video games, with a career spanning several decades. He was born on March 9, 1965, and began his career in radio in Upstate New York during the 1980s before transitioning to voice work in New York City in the 1990s. Pollock is sometimes credited under the name Herb Lawrence, a tribute to his father.

Pollock's entry into anime voice acting came through director Eric Stuart, who brought him in for a guest role in an episode of Pokémon. This opportunity led to further recommendations for roles in series such as Kirby: Right Back at Ya! and Ultimate Muscle, where he landed his first major anime role as the character Meat. Among his early anime credits is the role of Professor Kamo in the 2000 OVA series Demon Fighter Kocho, a part that has been noted as one of his first performances in the medium.

He is best known as the long-standing English voice of Doctor Eggman (and his relative, Professor Gerald Robotnik) in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise.
