Michaela Degen

Michaela Degen is a German voice actress, born in 1962, who has been active in dubbing since at least the late 1980s. Based in Munich, her career is primarily defined by her work synchronizing foreign-language films and television series for the German market. Until the early 2000s, she was frequently cast to voice young or girlish characters.

Her most widely recognized role is providing the German voice for the character Prinzessin Romy in the animated series 80 Days Around the World With Willy Fog, an anime adaptation of the Jules Verne novel. She reprised this role for the character's appearances in the series' sequels, Mit Willy Fog zum Mittelpunkt der Erde and Mit Willy Fog 20.000 Meilen unter dem Meer.

In addition to her work on the Willy Fog trilogy, Degen lent her voice to a variety of other animated and live-action projects. Her voice can be heard in numerous anime series, including as the second German voice for the character Velma in Scooby-Doo, wo bist du? and The New Scooby-Doo Movies. She also voiced Tsubame Sanjou in Rurouni Kenshin: The Chapter of Atonement and Elvy Hadhiyat in RahXephon. Her dubbing work in live-action series includes roles in episodes of Law & Order, Eine schrecklich nette Familie, and Sabrina - Total verhext.
