Steven Bednarski is a Canadian former voice actor known for his work in English dubs of anime and animated series during the 1980s and 1990s. Born in Montreal, Quebec, in 1973, he began his career in the entertainment industry as a child actor, appearing in both on-camera productions and voice-over roles. His body of work from this period includes providing voices for characters in series produced by the Canadian studio Cinar Films.

Bednarski is recognized for several prominent voice roles in anime dubs. He voiced the title character in the English adaptation of the classic series Astro Boy, produced by Cinélume Studios in 1985. He is also known for his work in the first English dub of the popular magical girl anime Sailor Moon, where he provided the voice for the recurring character Chad. In addition to this main role, he voiced numerous other supporting characters and provided additional voices throughout the various seasons of the Sailor Moon dub, including the role of Andrew. His filmography also includes voicing Sidney in the English adaptation of Doraemon and Roobear Koala, the protagonist of the 1984 anime series Adventures of the Little Koala. Other notable credits from this era include voices in The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and The World of David the Gnome.

A notable aspect of Bednarski's early career involves the industry practices for voice acting credits at the time. During the production of the Astro Boy dub, Canadian regulations did not mandate that voice actors be listed in a production's credits. Consequently, Bednarski did not receive on-screen recognition for his work on that series, despite his voice being featured for many years. By the time Sailor Moon was being dubbed, regulations had changed due to efforts by the Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television, and Radio Artists (ACTRA), allowing him to receive credit for those later roles.

Bednarski's career as a voice actor was part of a longer period spent in the Canadian entertainment industry during his youth and young adulthood. He eventually retired from acting to pursue an academic career. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from York University's Glendon College, a Master of Arts from the University of Toronto, and a PhD from the Université du Québec à Montréal. Following a postdoctoral fellowship, he became a professor of history, specializing in medieval France. He officially retired from acting in the early 2000s.
