Shiori Hanaoka
Description
Shiori Hanaoka is a Japanese voice actress from Ibaraki Prefecture, born on September 7th and affiliated with the talent agency 81 Produce. Her journey into professional voice acting began with local voice actor activities; in 2017, she was a member of the voice actor unit "Chita-Musume," voicing the character Oki Utsumi. She later moved to Tokyo to seriously pursue a career in voice acting.
Hanaoka's major break came through the "What Voice You?" project, a collaboration between Shin-Ei Animation and 81 Produce designed to discover new talent. In March 2020, she was one of only four winners selected from an original pool of 84 aspiring voice actors through a series of auditions for the Idolls! Project. This achievement led to her becoming a正式 member of 81 Produce on April 1, 2020, alongside her fellow winners,留冬蓝名 and水野亚美. Her professional debut role was as the character Shiori in the television anime Idolls!, which began broadcasting in January 2021. In this series, which utilized motion capture technology, she was also part of the unit Idolls!, performing the opening theme song "WE ARE THE ONE" and the ending theme song "Yume Mite Samete mo".
Following her debut, Hanaoka has taken on additional roles. In 2021, she voiced a background character, Audience G, in the anime I★CHU Idol Chū. In 2023, her work expanded into video games, where she provided voices for the characters Inomiyah, Celine, and Trode in the globally popular game Genshin Impact. Beyond animation and games, her career includes audiobook narrations, such as for "Ping Pong Rubber 2" and "Kekkon ga Zen Tei no Love Come," as well as participation in stage readings. Her talents and interests outside of voice acting include singing and playing the Japanese taiko drum.
