Kenkyo na Circle is a Japanese author primarily known for creating original light novel series, many of which have been adapted into manga and anime. Kenkyo na Circle began writing stories on the user-generated novel website Shōsetsuka ni Narō (also known as Let's Become Novelists). The debut of I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince on this platform occurred in October 2019. The creator's early work includes the light novel series Kouritsu Kuriya Madoushi, Daini no Jinsei de Madou wo Kiwameru (also known as Master Magic Efficiently or The Mage Will Master Magic Efficiently in his Second Life), which began publication in 2015 and ran until 2017. This series was adapted into a manga illustrated by Asakawa Keiji, serialized on the Alphapolis web manga platform starting in November 2015.

Other original light novel series by Kenkyo na Circle include Shitennou Sai Jakudatta Ore. Tensei Shitanode Heionna Seikatsu wo Nozomu, which began in 2019, as well as Tokumori Madougu de Isekai Burari Tabi and Jisshitsu Taikensha: Game Chishiki to DIY Skill de Henkyou Slow Life wo okutte Itara, Itsu no Manika Densetsu no Taikensha to Kanchigai Sareteita Ken, both of which were published between 2020 and 2021. The creator has also produced light novel titles including Musume wo Konyaku Haki Sareta Saikyou Gunjin, Kuni wo Mikagiri Henkyou e, Kogarashi Ryouma: Ikoku Douchuuki, and Ossan Ryuushi, Daini no Jinsei.

The publication history of Kenkyo na Circle's works shows a consistent pattern of transitioning from web novels to print. Kodansha began publishing the light novels for I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince under its Kodansha Ranobe Bunko imprint in July 2020, featuring illustrations by Meru. The manga adaptation of this series, illustrated by Yosuke Kokuzawa, began serialization on Kodansha's Magazine Pocket website and app in June 2020, with Kodansha USA publishing the English version. As of mid-2024, the series had achieved five million copies in cumulative circulation.

In October 2025, a new manga collaboration was announced featuring Kenkyo na Circle as the original work creator. The manga, titled Kizuitara Musō Game no Akuyaku Shōgun Datta Ken. ~Hametsu Route wa Buttsubusu~, involves a collaboration where Kenkyo na Circle is credited for the original story, Shinya Murata is credited for composition, and Tsuyoshi Watanabe is credited for the art. The story follows a man reincarnated as an evil general in a hack-and-slash game who uses his knowledge to avoid a predetermined bad ending.

The thematic content of Kenkyo na Circle's works centers predominantly on reincarnation and isekai narratives, often featuring protagonists who apply knowledge from a previous life to master magic or navigate new worlds more efficiently. Many titles share common elements including protagonists with specialized knowledge, magical or game-like systems, and slow-life or self-improvement goals. The recurring motif of second chances and the methodical pursuit of mastery appears across multiple series, from the efficient magic study in Kouritsu Kuriya Madoushi to the game knowledge application in the 2025 collaboration title.

Industry recognition for Kenkyo na Circle stems primarily from the commercial success of I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince, which has sustained publication across light novel, manga, and anime formats. The series was produced as a television anime by studio Tsumugi Akita Anime Lab, with Jin Tamamura directing and Naoki Tozuka handling series composition. Crunchyroll streamed the series worldwide, and the announcement of a second season immediately following the first season's conclusion indicates strong audience reception. The creator's continued output and ability to collaborate with established manga artists further demonstrates an active presence in the contemporary Japanese fantasy and isekai publishing landscape.
