Ren Eguchi is a Japanese author best known as the creator of the popular isekai series Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill. Eguchi began writing the series as a web novel on the user-generated site Shōsetsuka ni Narō on January 5, 2016. The series proved successful and was later acquired for print publication by Overlap, who began releasing it as a light novel under their Overlap Novels imprint on November 25, 2016, with illustrations provided by artist Masa. As the original creator, Eguchi is credited with the story for all subsequent adaptations of the work.

The success of the light novel led to a manga adaptation, illustrated by Akagishi K, which began serialization on Overlap’s Comic Gardo website on March 24, 2017. The franchise reached a wider audience with an anime television series adaptation produced by the acclaimed studio MAPPA, which aired from January to March 2023. A second season of the anime has been announced.

The series has been licensed for English release by J-Novel Club for the light novels and both manga series, with Yen Press handling the print edition of the main manga.
