Michaela Dean

Description
Michaela Dean is an American voice actor known for her work in animated series and films, particularly in the genres of children's entertainment and English adaptations of Japanese anime. Her career in voice acting became active in the early 2010s, with her debut appearing to be in the 2009 English adaptation of the Japanese animated film Mai Mai Miracle.

Dean is likely best recognized for her role as Amane, a young cousin of the main character, in the 2010 Japanese anime film Welcome to the SPACE SHOW. This film, produced by A-1 Pictures and directed by Koji Masunari, was brought to the United States by GKIDS in 2014. In the English-language version of this space adventure, Dean voiced Amane, a character who embarks on an intergalactic journey after discovering an alien dog. Her performance was part of a notable voice cast that included Michael Sinterniklaas, Stephanie Sheh, Cassandra Lee Morris, and Marc Diraison.

A significant portion of Dean's career has been dedicated to long-running children's animated television series. She provided the voice for Lily Bobtail in the Nickelodeon CGI-animated series Peter Rabbit, which aired from 2012 to 2016. This series was based on the classic children's books by Beatrix Potter. Concurrently, Dean was also involved with the Care Bears franchise. She voiced the character Wonderheart Bear in several iterations of the series during the early 2010s, including Care Bears: Welcome to Care-a-Lot (2012) and its subsequent specials and spin-offs like Care Bears: Totally Sweet Adventures (2013). Additionally, she had a role in the Australian animated series Guess How Much I Love You?, which ran internationally from 2012 to 2016.

Beyond animation, Dean's film credits include a live-action role in the 2020 science fiction feature Intersect. While her career has primarily focused on voice work in television and film, these credits establish her as a consistent presence in English-language dubs and animated productions for children and families from the early 2010s into the 2020s.
