Aya Sakaguchi is a Japanese singer and voice actress born on May 22, 1959, in Tokyo, Japan. She is a graduate of the Faculty of Law at Gakushuin University. Her real name is Aya Futagawa, and she is affiliated with the talent management firm Osawa Office.
Sakaguchi began her career in the entertainment industry during the 1980s as the vocalist for the indie band Tokyo Son Electric Troupe. Following the band's disbandment, she transitioned into working as a narrator and voice actor, frequently contributing to television commercials. Her voice acting work has included many roles as young girls, particularly prominent during the 1990s.
A notable and long-running role in her career is providing the voice for the character Mimmy, Hello Kitty's twin sister, in various Hello Kitty anime productions. She is the second voice actor to take on this role, which includes her performance in the series Hello Kitty no Mahō no Mori no Ohime-sama. Sakaguchi has also voiced the twin characters Kayama Maki and Kayama Miki in works related to the Licca-chan franchise.
