Keiko Koumyouji
Description
Keiko Koumyouji is a Japanese actress, voice actress, and stage director. She was born on September 26, 1964, in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. She is affiliated with the theatre company 声の劇団Image (Voice Theatre Image), where she also serves as a representative. In addition to her performance work, she undertakes roles as a director and playwright under the stage name Rittsu Ono.
Koumyouji graduated from the Faculty of Liberal Arts at The Open University of Japan. She studied acting at the宝田芸術学院 (Takara Arts College) and made her film debut in 1985 with the work Clara Hakusho: Shoujo-tai PHOON. After meeting the director Keita Onishi, she became involved in the launch of 声の劇団Image and began her activities as a voice actor, becoming the representative of the troupe in April 2000.
Her career in anime spans several decades, with a significant number of roles in long-running and popular series. One of her notable early roles was the mother of Hajime Kindaichi in the 1999 series Kindaichi Case Files. She has also had recurring roles in the Ojamajo Doremi franchise, voicing the character Majokurosu in Ojamajo Doremi and its sequel Ojamajo Doremi Dokka~n!. In the series Digimon Adventure 02, she voiced Fumiko Hida, the mother of the character Iori Hida.
Koumyouji has been a consistent presence in the long-running anime Detective Conan, providing voices for several different characters across multiple episodes between 2011 and 2022.
