Kenichi Morozumi was a Japanese voice actor and stage performer, born on January 11, 1955, in Yamanashi Prefecture. His career in the performing arts began in the theater, with his first passion being stage performance starting in 1979. He was affiliated with the theater collective Yen, and earlier in his career, he was also associated with Aoni Production. Morozumi passed away on September 1, 2022, due to ischemic heart failure at the age of 67.

While his roots were in theater, Morozumi built a substantial career in voice acting, beginning in the 1980s. He was particularly active in the dubbing of foreign films and television series, providing the Japanese voices for numerous characters. One of his most prominent dubbing roles was Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter film series, a role he voiced in multiple installments including Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Another notable live-action dubbing performance was Captain Vidal in the film Pan's Labyrinth.

In the realm of animation and video games, Morozumi is widely recognized for his long-standing role as the Russian fighter Sergei Dragunov in the Tekken series. He first voiced the character in Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection in 2005 and continued in the role through Tekken 7, becoming closely associated with the character. His other anime voice roles were extensive and varied, including Fujiwara in Black Lagoon, Takahashi in Monster, Gerald Goodman in Terraformars, Kiyoshi Yoshioka in Gantz, Arthur in Soul Eater, and a role in Samurai Champloo. In the original video animation series Dai Yamato Zero-go, he played the role of Denzel Spear, the captain's aide. He also appeared in series such as Moribito - Guardian of the Spirit and Texhnolyze. Morozumi's career was marked by a consistent presence across both Japanese animation and foreign language dubbing, contributing his voice to a wide array of characters over four decades.
