Akira Nagata

Description
Akira Nagata is a Japanese actor, voice actor, and singer, born on January 22, 1985, in Osaka Prefecture. He began his entertainment career in 2000 as a member of the dance unit D.A.N.K., and in 2001, he became a founding member and the first leader of the J-Pop group Run&Gun. His career expanded into acting in 2003, encompassing television dramas, films, stage productions, and voice acting for anime. He is affiliated with the talent agency Yoshimoto Creative Agency.

As a voice actor, Nagata is known for his roles in two notable anime series. He provided the voice for Atsushi Otani, the male lead in the romantic comedy anime Lovely Complex, which aired in 2007. He also voiced the character Steve in the children's anime series Hatarakids My Ham Gumi. Beyond these leading roles, his voice acting portfolio includes contributions to drama CDs.

While his voice acting work is a part of his career, Nagata's professional activities are marked by recurring collaborations within the entertainment industry. He is a longstanding member of the J-Pop group Run&Gun, with whom he has released music under the Avex Trax label. His work frequently involves stage productions, including musical adaptations of manga such as Air Gear and Blue Exorcist, where he played the role of Mephisto Pheles, often appearing alongside his Run&Gun colleagues. He is also a member of the theater unit ZERO BEAT. In live-action, he is recognized for his role as Seigi Ozaki in the popular tokusatsu series Kamen Rider Den-O and its subsequent film adaptations.

Nagata's notable achievements are primarily reflected in the popularity and recognition of the major projects he has been a part of, such as Kamen Rider Den-O and Lovely Complex, rather than through individual awards. His sustained career as a multifaceted entertainer, moving between music, stage, television, and anime, is a hallmark of his professional profile.
