Uschi Wolff is a German actress and voice actress with a career spanning several decades, during which she has lent her voice to numerous characters in film and television, including several notable anime productions. She was born on 10 July 1943 in Berlin.

Wolff began her acting career as a child in the mid-1950s, appearing in German films such as Die Trapp-Familie. Alongside her on-screen work, she established herself as a prolific voice actress, providing the German voice for prominent Hollywood actresses including Debra Winger in films like An Officer and a Gentleman and Terms of Endearment, and Demi Moore in movies such as The Seventh Sign.

In the realm of anime, Wolff is recognized for several key roles. She voiced the character Yoshie, referred to as alte Frau number one, in the German dub of the acclaimed Studio Ghibli film Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea. One of her most well-known anime roles from the same era is Clara Sesemann in the classic series Heidi, Girl of the Alps. Her extensive voice work in anime also includes the role of the Fairy in The Adventures of Pinocchio, the Ice Maiden in Andersen Monogatari, Sister Kate in Lady Georgie, and Fräulein Haruna in the Sailor Moon R series. More recently, she voiced the character Izumi in the German version of another Hayao Miyazaki film, The Boy and the Heron, as well as Old Nerine in Violet Evergarden: The Movie and the head of the institution in Earwig and the Witch.

Beyond anime, Wolff has been a ubiquitous presence in German dubbing. She is particularly well-known for her long-standing role as the voice of multiple characters in the animated series South Park, including Sheila Broflovski, Sharon Marsh, and Cartman's mother. Her television voice work also includes the character Mrs. Hart in WandaVision and Schwester Domenick in Hotel Zack & Cody. In addition to her work as a voice actress, Uschi Wolff is also active as a dialogue director for German dubs.
