Nick Romeo Reimann

Description
Nick Romeo Reimann is a German actor who provided the voice for the character Sousuke in the German-language version of the Studio Ghibli film Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea. Born in Munich on January 14, 1998, his career began in front of the camera as a child actor, with his screen debut in 2005. He became widely known in Germany for his roles in live-action film series such as Die Wilden Kerle and Vorstadtkrokodile.

His work on Ponyo, released in Germany in 2010 as Ponyo - Das große Abenteuer am Meer, stands as his most prominent role in anime voice acting. In this film, he voiced the lead character Sousuke, a five-year-old boy who befriends the goldfish princess Ponyo. The German dubbed version, produced by PPA Film GmbH, featured Reimann in this main role.

Beyond this specific anime credit, Reimann's voice work is primarily in the realm of dubbing and audiobooks for German audiences. Also in 2010, he became the German voice of Greg Heffley in the film adaptation of Diary of a Wimpy Kid, a role he originated in the audiobook versions of the series in 2009. There is no public information to indicate that he has taken on additional anime voice roles or that he has recurring collaborations with specific voice directors or studios in the anime industry. While his early work earned him nominations, such as for an Undine Award in 2007, and his film Vorstadtkrokodile won the Deutscher Filmpreis for Best Youth Film in 2010, these achievements are related to his live-action film career rather than his voice acting. Since 2016, he has focused on classical theatre, training at the Otto-Falckenberg-Schule in Munich and becoming a company member at the Volkstheater Wien in 2020.
