Ana Cloe

Description
Ana Cloe is a Portuguese actress and voice artist known for her extensive work in dubbing films and television series into European Portuguese. Her career spans theater, musical performance, and voice acting, with her work in dubbing beginning around 2010.

Born on December 9, 1977, Ana Cloe initially planned to pursue a career working with animals before being inspired by theater classes to change her path. She subsequently graduated from the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema in Lisbon, Portugal, with a degree in Actor and Director Training. Her early career was rooted in theater, where she performed with companies in Portugal and internationally, including tours in Slovenia, Spain, Italy, and France. She also developed skills in vocal direction and music for theatrical productions and pursued further training in Jazz Singing at the Academia Amadores de Música in Lisbon. Her musical abilities, combined with her vocal plasticity, contributed to her success in theater musicals, such as her role as Marta Monster in the Portuguese production of Avenue Q.

In dubbing, Ana Cloe has voiced a wide array of characters across animation and live-action productions. In the 2020 Portuguese dub of the Studio Ghibli film Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea, produced by Buggin Media, she provided the voice for Granmamare, the goddess of the ocean, as well as for the characters Kumiko, Shima, and Yoshie. This specific dub is a distinct version from an earlier 2009 Portuguese adaptation.

Her other notable dubbing roles include several major animated features from Disney and other studios. She voiced Mamã Imelda in Coco, Sisu in Raya and the Last Dragon, Pepa in Encanto, and Scuttle in the 2023 live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid. Her filmography also includes roles as Gadget Hawkrench in Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers, Agatha Trunchbull in Matilda: The Musical, and Sono in Orion and the Dark. Beyond animation, her voice work extends to video games, where she is recognized for dubbing the character Chloe Frazer in the Portuguese version of the Uncharted game series, and to live-action dubbing for series like Fuller House.
