Takashi Taguchi was a Japanese voice actor born on May 18, 1942, in Tokyo. He was affiliated with the talent management firm Production baobab. Taguchi began his career in 1962 and remained active in the industry until his passing on August 16, 2016.

Taguchi built a prolific career through voice roles in numerous television anime, original video animations, and theatrical films. Among his notable television roles are Ebiten Senobi in the series Okawari-Boy Starzan S, a part in the Gundam franchise as Professor H in Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Carlos in GUN x SWORD, and various characters in long-running series such as Sgt. Frog, Nintama Rantaro, and Case Closed. His film work includes the role of a man with a deck brush in the Studio Ghibli classic Kiki's Delivery Service and Ubito in the film Sword for Truth. He also voiced Tatsuyoshi Suzuki in the OVA Aoi Kioku - Manmō Kaitaku to Shōnen-tachi.

Throughout his long career, Taguchi was a familiar presence in several major anime franchises. He had recurring roles in the Gundam series, appearing in productions such as Mobile Suit Gundam F91, Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory, and Mobile Suit Gundam Wing. He was also a frequent contributor to the Lupin III, Doraemon, and Crayon Shin-chan series. Beyond anime, his work extended to dubbing foreign films and television dramas; he was notably the long-term Japanese voice of Q, the quartermaster from the James Bond films, starting with Licence to Kill.

Taguchi's achievements include a career spanning over five decades, during which he contributed to hundreds of productions. He was also known for his work as an instructor at voice acting training schools, helping to cultivate new talent in the industry. Following his death, his role as Bam-Bam in the Japanese dub of Cow and Chicken was taken over by Yūichi Nagashima.
