Sanae Shinohara
Description
Sanae Shinohara is a Japanese voice actor, narrator, and sports commentator. She made her debut in the entertainment industry as a disc jockey for Tokyo FM on the program Mituura Tomokazu Hitotsubu no Seishun after graduating from junior college. Four years later, she debuted as a voice actor in the anime series Urusei Yatsura, providing the voice for the character Asano Yumiko. Nearly simultaneously, she began working on radio programs related to baseball.
In the following year, Shinohara became a pioneering figure as the first female live announcer for the Summer High School Baseball Miyagi Tournament broadcast by Higashi Nippon Broadcasting. She worked as a live commentator for this tournament for five years. Subsequently, she served as a director and narrator for the Aomori Asahi Broadcasting program Mezase Kōshien for eight years. Her career later shifted focus primarily to narration for television programs and other media.
