Emi Hirayama is a Japanese freelance voice actress from Tokyo, born on September 24th. She is affiliated with no talent agency, working as a freelancer. Hirayama is known for her gentle and soothing voice, which has been described by fans as having an "ear-tickling" quality, often leading to her being cast in roles such as animals, fairies, and soft-mannered girls.

Hirayama's journey to becoming a voice actor began in her second year of elementary school when her mother explained the profession to her, sparking a lasting interest in bringing illustrated characters to life. She pursued this passion by joining her high school's drama club and attending a dance school, later graduating from the Tokyo Dance & Actors Professional School and training at RAMS Professional Education.

Her professional career started in the late 2000s. She was initially affiliated with the agency RAMS until March 2013, after which she joined SPELL BOUND. She left SPELL BOUND in July 2018 and has since worked as a freelancer. Hirayama's voice can be heard across a wide variety of anime, games, and drama CDs. In anime, she has taken on roles such as Anastasia in Sorcerous Stabber Orphen: Battle of Kimluck, Lorraine in KING’S RAID: Successors of the Will, and Koharu Shinoyama in Sorette♡Dakara ne!. She also voiced multiple characters in the Ohiru no Shocker-san series, including Dokugangar and Docgunder. Her other television anime roles include Kagura Uzuki in Augmented Reality Girls Trinary, Shikko in Nukko., Jitan in Dayan to Tama to Tobi Neko to: Mittsu no Neko no Monogatari, Okaa-chan in Quiz Tokiko-san, and Chatora-kun in Marumaru Manul. In the anime adaptation of the game Destiny Child, she voiced both Charlotte and Yoko Tsukasa.

However, her most prominent and defining role to date is Reika Kitakami in the massively popular The Idolmaster Million Live! franchise, a role she performs across games, anime, and live concert events. Her voice work in video games is also extensive, with roles in Blue Archive as Fubuki and in the mobile game Destiny Child, among many others.

Beyond voice acting, Hirayama is a passionate singer. She has released original music, including albums successfully funded through crowdfunding campaigns, demonstrating a strong and dedicated connection with her supporters. She also maintains a close working relationship with fellow voice actress Choco Kiritani, with whom she launched an online fan salon called "Fluffy Party". While she has not received major industry awards, Emi Hirayama has built a solid career characterized by versatility, a warm presence, and a deep commitment to her craft and her fans.
