Takumi Nishio
Description
Takumi Nishio is a former Japanese actor, voice actor, and singer. He was born in Tokyo on June 17, 1967. He also used the stage name Takumi Nishio, written with a different character.
Nishio made his voice acting debut in 1986 in the film Tanabata. One of his early consistent voice roles was providing voices for multiple characters in the anime series Touch and Aji Iru Mono!. In the long-running television series Touch, he voiced the character Kazuo Maruyama. His other voice work in anime during the 1980s included roles in Anmitsu Hime, City Hunter, and Norakuro-kun.
He also participated in several film dubbing projects. In 1988, he provided the Japanese dub voice for Michael Blevins in the film A Chorus Line for its broadcast on Fuji Television. His other film dubbing work includes roles in Crisis 2050 and Salsa.
In live-action roles, Nishio appeared in television dramas such as B-Kyū Horror WARASHI!! and Help!. Beyond acting, he was a member of the male idol group CHA-CHA from the late 1980s to the early 1990s.
Nishio retired from the entertainment industry in 1996. Following his retirement, he trained as a chef and later managed restaurants, including a Southern European restaurant and a Korean restaurant in Tokyo.
