Yasuko Hatori

Yasuko Hatori is a Japanese actress and voice actress born on April 23, 1945, in Tokyo. She began her career in 1966 with the theater company Mirai Theater. Since 1999, she has been affiliated with the talent management firm Mausu Promotion. In addition to her performance work, she serves as a lecturer for voice acting and drama at the S&S Entertainment School.
Hatori is known for her low-pitched voice and frequently portrays elderly women and grandmothers in various anime. One of her notable film roles is the owner of the Miki Stationery Store in the 2007 film JAPAN, Our Homeland. Her extensive career includes significant roles in several World Masterpiece Theater productions, such as Edda Rossi in Romeo's Blue Skies, the grandmother in Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water, and Rosine and Simone in Remi, Nobody's Girl. She also provided the voice for the grandmother of Nobita Nobi in the long-running series Doraemon.
Other prominent anime voice roles include Chiyo Kumasawa in Umineko When They Cry, Misao Kasugano in Yosuga no Sora, the female old fox in Konohana Kitan, and the shopkeeper of the Kinoshita Store in Barakamon. Hatori has been a recurring voice in the Detective Conan anime, playing various characters across multiple episodes from 2013 to 2017. Her filmography also includes voice work in the Code Geass: Akito the Exiled series.
