Muíbo Cury was a Brazilian actor, radio personality, and voice actor, recognized for his extensive work in dubbing for television and film. He was born Muhib Cury on January 15, 1929, in Duartina, São Paulo, and passed away on December 26, 2009, in São Paulo city. His career in broadcasting began in 1947 at Rádio América in São Paulo, and he became a long-standing figure at Rádio Bandeirantes, where he worked for over 37 years as a journalist and presenter. In addition to his radio career, he was also a composer, co-writing the classic Brazilian country song João de Barro with Teddy Vieira.

In the field of dubbing, Cury was active from the late 1950s through the 2000s, working with major dubbing studios in São Paulo such as AIC, BKS, and Álamo. He is widely known for providing the Brazilian Portuguese voice of the character Kaura, the hunter, in the Japanese tokusatsu series Comando Estelar Flashman. Another of his most recognized roles was voicing the beloved Muppet character Fozzie Bear in The Muppet Show and its film sequel The Muppets Take Manhattan.

His dubbing career spanned a wide variety of genres and formats. He lent his voice to characters in numerous animated series and films, including Mayor White in Doug, Dr. Sweetface Applecheek in Tom and Jerry: The Movie, and Wilson Fisk, also known as the Kingpin, in the 1990s Spider-Man animated series. His work also included live-action series such as Kolchak: The Night Stalker and films like The Shawshank Redemption, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and Porco Rosso. Cury also contributed to the dubs of other tokusatsu productions, including Lion Man and Jaspion. Throughout his career, he was known for his versatility, passing through nearly all of São Paulo's dubbing studios and leaving a substantial body of work across animation, live-action series, and films.
