Akane Kaida is a Japanese voice actor and singer from Hokkaido, Japan, born on February 2nd. She is affiliated with the agency DMM music. Before starting her voice acting career, she graduated from the Amusement Media General Academy, a vocational school for entertainment. Her path to the industry was marked by success in a major audition; in 2018, she participated in the DMM music and A-Sketch voice actor artist audition and was announced as one of five winners out of approximately 15,500 applicants in March 2019.

Her debut anime roles came in 2020. That year, she voiced multiple minor characters in the series Listeners and landed her first prominent role as Sannose Ninose in the short-form anime Dogeza: I Tried Asking While Kowtowing. In this series, she also participated in performing the theme song Dogeza! Do get that as part of the unit Dogezatai with her fellow cast members. The following year, in 2021, her career continued with a variety of supporting roles across several television series. She had a role in The Hidden Dungeon Only I Can Enter, though the characters she voiced were minor ones such as a receptionist and other background figures. Her other credits from that year include the role of Alfred in the series Isekai Shokudo 2, as well as appearances in Blue Reflection Ray, The Saint's Magic Power is Omnipotent, and other shows. Her work demonstrates a versatility in playing a range of character types early in her career. In addition to voice acting, her known skills and interests include singing and collecting watermelon-themed goods, and she holds a sho dan rank in kendo.
