Nicodème is particularly renowned for his long-standing association with the French-language Belgian dubbing of the Pokémon anime series. For the first eleven seasons, he served as the artistic director, overseeing the dubbing process. In this role, he directed the voice casts for numerous seasons, including Pokémon Advanced, Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, and several Pokémon films. Concurrent with his directorial duties, he also provided voices for a multitude of characters in the franchise. He was the first voice of the Narrator and the Pokédex for many years. His role as the voice director for Pokémon concluded after the eleventh season, though he has occasionally returned to voice minor characters in later series.

Beyond the narrator and Pokédex, his Pokémon roles are extensive. He voiced the character Professeur Sorbier (Professor Rowan) in the series Pocket Monsters: Diamond & Pearl. He also provided the voice for the Pokémon Qulbutoké (Wobbuffet) in the same series. His work on the franchise spans multiple generations and formats, including films and specials. Notable film roles include the narrator in several early movies, the voice of Darkrai in Pokémon: L'ascension de Darkrai, and Giovanni in the later film Mewtwo contre-attaque – Évolution.

His voice acting career extends to other notable anime and animated series. He voiced Genya Tachibana in the French dub of the acclaimed film Millennium Actress. He played the role of Haido in the second Naruto film, Naruto the Movie: Legend of the Stone of Gelel. In the OVA series Blood Reign: Curse of the Yoma, he is credited with the role of Valet Ninja Takeda, among other voices. Other anime credits include roles in Kirby: Right Back at Ya! (as Tokori and others), Fatal Fury (as Geese Howard), and Yu-Gi-Oh! (as Hobson and Croquet). He also voiced Kalian in Pokémon XY and Raphael Chen in Pokémon Sun & Moon.

In addition to his animation work, Daniel Nicodème has an extensive filmography dubbing live-action roles for Belgian French audiences. This includes providing the French voice for actors such as Henry Czerny (as Eugene Kittridge in the Mission: Impossible films), Chevy Chase (as Pierce Hawthorne in Community), and Eric Allan Kramer (as Bob Duncan in Good Luck Charlie). He has also worked on video games, such as Pokémon Channel, where he was both a voice actor and the recording director.

Outside of his performance and direction work, Nicodème has also been a drama teacher at the Académie de musique d'Evere in Belgium.
