Ayaka Igasaki
Description
Ayaka Igasaki is a Japanese voice actress, scriptwriter, and audio drama producer who began her career in 2012. Her stage name is derived from a character in the anime Nintama Rantarō. Before entering the voice acting industry, she gained several years of experience working at an ear-cleaning salon in Tokyo, an experience she has described as valuable training for her subsequent work.
Igasaki is the founder of the doujin circle Shirokuma no Yome, also known as White Bear's Wife, and its sister circle Blackuma no Yome, through which she has produced and performed in numerous voice dramas, often utilizing binaural recording methods. She later established the bishōjo game brand Shirokuma Dango, taking on roles as founder, producer, director, scriptwriter, and audio engineer. Her approach to audio production is noted for its perfectionism, with a strong emphasis on creating realistic sound effects, sometimes achieved by recording in outdoor environments.
In anime television, Igasaki is recognized for two primary roles. She voiced the character Suika in the 2020 short-form anime series Rail Romanesque, an adaptation of the Maitetsu visual novel. Suika is portrayed as a diligent and elite Rail Lord who serves as a technical mentor to other characters. Prior to this, in 2019, she voiced Mei Sasakura in the television anime Araiya-san! Ore to Aitsu ga Onnayu de!?, also known as Backwasher! -Her and I, in the Women's Bath!?-. For this series, she also performed the theme song Renai Sen Session as her character, in a duet with her co-star.
Beyond these television appearances, Igasaki's voice acting work is extensive in other media, particularly in bishōjo games and adult OVAs. Her game credits include roles such as Torii Ui in Real Eroge Situation! Hx3 and its animated adaptation, and Sachie Kurasaki in The Goddess of Healing and the Lab, for which she also contributed to the scenario and theme songs. She continues to be active in the ASMR and binaural voice drama genre through her own creative circles.
