Jay Snyder

James Hadley Snyder, known professionally as Dan Green and sometimes credited as Jay Snyder, is an American voice actor, voice director, and script adapter born on February 7, 1975. He studied acting at Rutgers University and The Juilliard School before beginning his career in voice-over. He is closely associated with the 4Kids Entertainment and NYAV Post dubbing studios.
Snyder is best known for his signature role as Yugi Muto and his alter-ego Yami Yugi in the English adaptation of the anime series Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters and its various sequels and films. He also gained prominence as the voice of Knuckles the Echidna in the Sonic X anime and several Sonic the Hedgehog video games from 2005 until 2010. His extensive anime and video game filmography includes roles such as Asato Tsuzuki in Descendants of Darkness, various characters in the Pokémon anime including Grovyle and Professor Birch, and Knuckles' rival Vector the Crocodile in the Sonic series.
In addition to voice acting, Snyder has worked as a voice director and script writer, adapting series such as Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn and Kurokami: The Animation for English audiences.
Regarding the Shaman King franchise specifically, Snyder provided voices for multiple characters in both the 2001 anime and the 2021 adaptation. In the original series, he voiced the roles of Silva and Lee Pai-Long (known as Lee Pyron in later adaptations), as well as Zen, Ramiro, and Savage Dan. He reprised his roles as Silva and Lee Pyron for the 2021 Shaman King series, and also voiced the character Patch Hao. His involvement extended to the related video games, where he is credited as the voice of Silva and Lee Pai-Long in Shaman King: Master of Spirits 2.
