Anjes Borchers is a German voice actor and trained actress. Born in Bremen, Germany, she completed her Abitur in 1977 and studied English and French from 1977 to 1981. She pursued acting training in Berlin from 1982 to 1986. Borchers has been active in voice-acting for lip-sync dubbing since 1984, working in both Berlin and Munich. Her professional voice-over career started in 1992. Her work includes voicing e-learning courses for corporations, corporate narrations for brands, providing voices for telephone applications, TV documentaries, and commercials. She has been the German telephone voice for major companies. Her voice can also be heard in public venues, including the London Aquarium and on announcements for airlines. In animation and anime dubbing, Anjes Borchers is recognized for her work in the German-language version of the 2006 animated film Highlander: The Search for Vengeance. In the German synchronization, Borchers provided the voice for the character Dahlia, a tough freedom fighter and the female lead who aids the protagonist, Colin MacLeod. Her career is focused on a broad spectrum of voice-over disciplines, including dubbing.
