Julio Núñez was a Spanish voice actor known for his contributions to the Spanish dubs of numerous anime series and films. Born Julio Núñez Merino on June 30, 1930, in Torrelavega, Cantabria, Spain, he built a extensive career in voice acting before his passing on January 17, 2008.

Núñez's body of work encompasses a wide range of characters in anime produced for the Spanish market. He is notably recognized for voicing Franklin Beaumont in the special Touch: Cross Road - Kaze no Yukue and Dr. Robson, also known as Chipy, in the series Moero! Top Striker. His repertoire also included significant roles such as Solomon Muto in both the Yu-Gi-Oh! television series and its theatrical film, and Cardenal Richelieu in the series Anime Sanjūshi.

His career included performances in many popular and long-running franchises. He provided voices for characters in the Pokémon anime across several iterations, including the original series, Pokémon Advance, and the movie Pokémon: The First Movie. In Pokémon Advance, his roles included Mr. Arenque, Professor Jacuzzi, and Sigourney. He was also the voice of Ryu Granger in Beyblade: V-Force, Motro in the Studio Ghibli film Castle in the Sky, and Ghana in Sonic X. Additional credits include roles in Monster Rancher, Marco, Phoenix 2772, and The Trapp Family Story. Through these varied performances across multiple series and studios, Julio Núñez became a familiar presence in Spanish-dubbed anime.
