Tamae Shiraishi is a Japanese actress and voice actress born on September 8, 1952, in Tokyo, Japan. She made her professional debut in 1975 with a stage performance in the production "Chin'akki". Her career has spanned both live-action television and stage, as well as voice acting for anime and dubbed foreign productions.

As a voice actor, Shiraishi is known for her role as Matsue Kawamoto in the 1980 television anime adaptation of the classic novel "Twenty-Four Eyes," a production that combined animation with live-action scenes. Decades later, she also provided the voice for the character Honoka's Grandmother in the 2013 anime television series "Non Non Biyori".

Beyond anime, her voice work includes participation in the Japanese-language dubbing of foreign television series, such as the popular Korean historical drama "Jewel in the Palace". Her primary creative focus, however, has been in theatre, with representative stage performances including productions of "The Lord of the Rings" and "Under the Magnolia Tree". Her professional skills include Japanese traditional dance, and she lists cooking and ice skating among her hobbies.
