Nicolas Alexander Böll is a German actor and voice actor. He was born on February 26, 1965, in Berlin, Germany, as Nicolas Alexander Wilcke. He is the son of actor Claus Wilcke.

Böll's path to voice acting began during a school internship at Studio Hamburg, where he was given a small synchronization role, an experience he later described as the initial spark for his career. He went on to train as an actor at Else Bongers' school in Berlin from 1984 to 1986. During this time, he was engaged at the Schillertheater and began taking on his first major dubbing roles.

Throughout his extensive career, Böll has become a well-established voice in German dubbing, known for providing the German voice for numerous international actors. He has lent his voice to actors such as Joaquin Phoenix, William Baldwin, Emilio Estevez, Owen Wilson, Paul Bettany, and Ben Affleck in multiple films. Notable film roles include David Wenham in The Lord of the Rings, Matthew Goode in Match Point, and Michael Sheen in The Queen. In the realm of television, he has dubbed characters in series like Ally McBeal, Sex and the City, Burn Notice, and Person of Interest.

In addition to his work in live-action, Böll is also active in voice-over for animation, audio dramas, and video games. In the field of anime, he is recognized for his role as the German voice of Kyousuke Irie in the Higurashi series, including When They Cry - Higurashi, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei, and Higurashi: When They Cry - Gou. His work in audio dramas and games includes roles such as Major Peter Hoffmann in Das Sternentor, Luxord in Kingdom Hearts II, and various productions for the Maritim label.

Beyond his performance work, Böll was the managing director of his own film and television production company, Vmax media, for over eight years. He is also a founding member of the Interessenverband Synchronschauspieler, a professional association for German voice actors, and has served as its press spokesman and editor-in-chief since 2006.
