Gerald Matthews is a voice actor known for his work in English dubs of anime series and video games, with much of his credited work occurring during the 2000s. He provided voices for a variety of characters, often in supporting roles, across different genres.

One of his notable anime roles is Mr. Suzuki in the comedy series Doki Doki School Hours, where he voiced the father of the protagonist, Mika Suzuki. He also lent his voice to the character Tonpa in the 1999 Hunter X Hunter television series. In the series Flame of Recca, he provided the voice for a minor character, Tech 1, in an episode. Matthews had multiple roles in the Gregory Horror Show franchise, voicing characters such as Black Duck 1 and Bonsai Kabuki in the main series and its subsequent installments, Gregory Horror Show: The Second Guest and Gregory Horror Show: The Last Train. His other anime credits include a role as W.C. Meat Man in Di Gi Charat Nyo, as Monsieur Takahashi and Rentatsu Ishibashi in Jubei-Chan 2: The Counterattack of Siberia Yagyu, and as Rui Shan in Mobile Fighter G Gundam.

In addition to his anime work, Matthews was active in video game voice acting, particularly within the Mega Man franchise. He is recognized for voicing the primary antagonist Sigma in the 2005 action game Mega Man Maverick Hunter X and its accompanying animated feature, MegaMan Maverick Hunter X: The Day of Sigma. He also voiced Flame Mammoth in the same game. His other credits in the franchise include the Yellow Devil in Mega Man Powered Up and Wild Jango and Depth Dragoon in Mega Man X: Command Mission. He also provided the voice for Anavel Gato in the video game Dynasty Warriors Gundam.

Matthews' work often involved collaborations with a consistent group of voice actors and ADR staff, particularly on projects dubbed in Canada. For instance, in Doki Doki School Hours, he worked alongside voice actors such as Angie Beers, Lucas Gilbertson, and Scott Roberts, under the direction of ADR director Teri Snelgrove. This team also contributed to the English adaptation of Mega Man Maverick Hunter X, with many of the same actors and directors involved.
