Colin Murdock is a Canadian voice actor and director, born on September 9, 1958, in Calgary, Alberta. He has built an extensive career in animation, particularly recognized for his work in English dubs of Japanese anime and various western animated series. His professional activity in the industry dates back to at least 1988. Murdock is known for his versatility, frequently providing voices for a wide array of characters, from villains to supporting roles.
Murdock's voice acting portfolio includes several prominent roles in anime and animation. In the 1999 anime film Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade, he voiced the character Atsushi Henmi, in addition to providing voices for an Academy Officer and a Riot Police officer in the English adaptation. He is also known for his role as the main antagonist Canaletto in the 2006 animated series Oban Star-Racers. His work within the Transformers franchise is extensive; he voiced the character Thrust in Transformers: Armada, Scorponok in Transformers: Energon, and took over the role of Scourge for the "Revelations" segment of Transformers: Cybertron. Other noted credits include roles in Mobile Suit Gundam, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and as the voice of Bob the Builder in the US version of the reboot series.
