Nobuo Tsukamoto was a Japanese actor born on May 7, 1933, who passed away on October 1, 1996. While he is credited with voice roles in anime, his career was primarily focused on live-action television and film, particularly in the tokusatsu (special effects) genre.
In anime, Tsukamoto is known for two distinct voice roles. He provided the voice for Ionius in the 1970 animated film Cleopatra, also known as Kureopatora. This film was the second installment in Osamu Tezuka and Eiichi Yamamoto's Animerama trilogy. He also voiced the character Tamotsu Nomura in the 1985 anime drama Bobby's Girl.
Tsukamoto's most prolific work was in live-action series and films. He had significant, long-running roles in several popular franchises. He played Captain Katsuichiro Kato in the 1971 series Return of Ultraman.
