Melanie Wiegmann is a German actress, voice actress, and singer, born on September 27, 1972, in Münster. She completed her formal acting training with a degree in performing arts from the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen, studying there from 1992 to 1996. Her professional background is rooted in theatre, where she was a long-standing ensemble member at the Staatstheater Nürnberg, and she has also appeared in numerous television productions and musicals.

In addition to her on-screen and stage work, Wiegmann has been active in the field of voice dubbing since 1998. Her voice acting credits include several roles in German dubs of anime series. Among these, she provided the German voice for the character Sharon in the series Gloria. Her other notable anime roles include Yuzuki in Chobits, Mayumi Kino in Blue Submarine No. 6, Mikura Suzuki in Mezzo DSA, and a policewoman in Riding Bean.
