Yumi Kikuchi is a Japanese voice actress, model, and radio personality born on March 15, 1974, in New York City, New York. Her career began in radio, where she initially worked as a live broadcast DJ before expanding into voice acting and on-screen appearances.

In the realm of anime, Kikuchi is recognized for several prominent voice roles. She provided the voice for Amika Kuribayashi in the 2004 series This Ugly Yet Beautiful World. Her other notable anime credits include Miyuki Sakura in Mahoromatic: Automatic Maiden and Shuho Kamiina in Sky High. Earlier in her career, she also voiced Nao Morisawa in the Refrain Blue OVA series. Beyond animation, her early acting work includes appearances in the live-action tokusatsu series Special Rescue Police Winspector and Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger.

Kikuchi is particularly known for her extensive and long-standing involvement with the Metal Gear Solid video game series, a collaboration that stems from her personal friendship with series creator Hideo Kojima. Her work in the franchise began with providing her likeness for gravure posters in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. She later portrayed the character Raging Raven in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, for which she also served as the character’s model and motion capture artist. Subsequently, she voiced the character Dr. Strangelove in Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and reprised the role in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Her involvement with the series also included providing voice DLC for the AI weapons Pupa, Chrysalis, and Cocoon in Peace Walker.

Throughout her career, Kikuchi has engaged in recurring collaborations. Beyond her work with game director Hideo Kojima, she has been a personality on his radio show, Hideo Channel Radio.
